ジョーキーボール・ワールドカップの開催を心よりお慶び申し上げます。
アジア初の世界大会が、私の故郷である福岡県で開催されることをとても嬉しく思います。これも偏にジョーキーボール普及活動に取り組まれてきた、加治木代表理事のご尽力の賜であり、衷心より敬意を表します。

私も高校時代には、グランドでサッカーボールを追いかけた1人です。現在は、サッカー外交推進議員連盟に所属し、スポーツを通じて国際的な友好関係の構築を目指しています。

ジョーキーボールはサッカーに似たスポーツですが、体格や男女の差といったフィジカルよりも、それぞれが磨き培ってきた技術やテクニックが勝敗を大きく左右するということです。

フットサルコートの8分の1とコンパクトな空間でありながら、壁や天井もコートの一部として使い、ボールのバウンドを利用したテクニカルな攻撃は、ジョーキーボールの見どころの一つです。

そして何より、子どもから大人までが、同じコートの中でエキサイトし、楽しむ事ことができる。それがジョーキーボールの最大の魅力であると感じます。

今大会ではアンバサダーに任命して頂きました。ジョーキーボール人口を増やすため、引き続き普及活動に取り組んで参ります。

今回は日本を含め、世界11ヶ国が参加の予定と伺っております。選手の皆様には、これまで積み重ねてきた練習の成果を十分に発揮され、スポーツマンシップに則った熱いプレーで、観客の皆様を魅了する試合が展開されることを期待しています。

結びに、この世界大会を機に、参加国とのさらなる友好関係が、この福岡の地から築かれることを大会の成功と共に祈念し、お祝いのメッセージとさせていただきます。

Aiming for the success of Jorkyball World Competitions

I heartily congratulate the JORKYBALL WORLD COMPETITIONS to be held in Japan.

I am very pleased that the first Jorkyball World Competition in Asia will be held in my hometown, Fukuoka. This is also the result of the efforts of the director of Japan Jorkyball Association, Mr. Kajiki who has been working to spread jorkyball, and I show respect for it.

In high school, I am one of those who used to chase the soccer balls on the ground. Currently, I’m a member of the Football League for Foreign Relations, aiming to build international friendship through sports.

Jorkyball is similar to soccer, but the skills and techniques that have been honed and cultivated have a greater effect on victory than physical such as the difference in physique and gender.

Jorkyball court is only one-eight size of futsal court. A technical attack that uses the walls as a part of the court for bouncing the ball is one of the highlights of jorkyball.

And above all, I think the biggest attraction of the jorkyball is that children and adults can be excited and everybody can enjoy in the same court.
I was appointed as an ambassador of this 2020 World Competitions. I will continue to work on dissemination activities to increase the jorkyball players.

I heard that 11 countries, including Japan, will be participating this time. I hope that players will be able to make full use of the results of the practice they have accumulated so far and play games that will captivate the audience with exciting play based on sportsmanship.

In the end, we hope that this World Competitions will bring further friendship with participating countries from the land of Fukuoka with the success of the tournament.
